the moral value that i had learned in the short story ...
Each one of us commits mistakes that can hurt anyone. Sometimes, it is so hard to forgive especially when he/she commits mistakes that affect your entire life. But, the only thing that will make your life peaceful is that we need to learn how to forgive. We need to forget who hurt us but never forget what lesson they left to us. We must remember that when we forgive, we recover and grow as a person.
As a 21st learner, the impact of the story to me is that
Family is one of the most important, if not the most important thing in our lives. Taking time every day to appreciate your loved ones for all that they do helps us to reconnect as a family...

And Also as a 21st century learner..in case of family issue... We need to think twice. To think nice... In life, it can be really really hard to forgive someone. It becomes hard because we can be selfish and stubborn. But, nevertheless, most of us do come around to forgiving at one point, which is great because it makes the other person feel better and you can kind of move on.

Now, once you forgive....the hardest is to "forget".

So, my point with all this, is that, be it in your personal life  if you truly forgive, you should truly forget. The feeling is great, its like taking a load off your back and gives you the opportunity of being happier. Every time you remember your past (that should have been forgotten), the only person that suffers is YOU. So, if you want to be truly happy, just let it go, move on, and live a happier, peaceful life. Its amazing how much more productive you get when your mind is clear.
